iQOO Neo 9 series teased in India: Specifications, Price and Launch Date

  

iQOO, the sub-brand of Vivo, has started teasing Neo 9 series in India. An hour ago, Twitter/X handle of iQOO posted Happy NEO Year wish with below image and phrase:

As per latest leaks, iQOO will launch Neo 9 series in India by the end of this month (January 2024) only. Before this iQOO launched the iQOO Neo 9 series in China on December 27, 2023. The series comes with two models - iQOO Neo 9 and iQOO Neo 9 Pro. iQOO may introduce either one of these two or both devices to India. Neo 9 series is positioned below the iQOO 12 series and based on its China pricing, we can say that the iQOO Neo 9 is going to be the cheapest smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Chipset. 

The iQOO Neo 9 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the flagship chip of last year from Qualcomm. GPU used is Adreno 740. Whereas the iQOO Neo 9 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 9300 chipset, the flagship chip of this year from MediaTek. GPU used is Immortalis-G720. Both the phones come with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 Storage, ensuring fast and smooth experience. These combos makes these devices able to deliver exceptional processing capabilities, ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience, whether you're gaming, multitasking, or simply navigating through apps. 

The Neo 9 series has a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED LTPO Visionox 8T display, with 120Hz refresh rate (Up to 144Hz in games), 3000nits peak brightness and 2160Hz PWM dimming for an immersive visual experience. 

Both the phone in the iQOO Neo 9 series come with 16MP of selfie camera and pack a dual camera setup in the back, featuring 50MP IMX920 primary sensor which comes with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The secondary sensor used in iQOO Neo 9 Pro is a 50MP JN1 Ultrawide lens whereas the secondary sensor used in iQOO Neo 9 is a 8MP JN1 Ultrawide lens. The 12GB+256GB variant of Neo 9 is priced at ¥2,299 in China which is approximately around ₹27,000 in India and the 12GB+256GB variant of Neo 9 Pro is priced at ¥2999 in China which is approximately around ₹35,000 in India. If these phones come to India with similar pricing, these are going to be instant hit and will disrupt the mid range smartphone market.

To summarize, the Neo 9 series packs powerful SoCs, good primary camera, fastest RAM & storage options, and come with huge battery with blazing fast charging technology.
